Beverly Naya's advice to single ladies

Nigerian actress, Beverly Naya is a screen diva who delivers her roles convincingly. She made a name for herself alongside Majid Michel when the duo emerged joint winners in the Best Kiss in a Movie at the 2014 edition of BON awards. The graduate of psychology and sociology from Brunnel University recently took to her Twitter page to advice single ladies on letting God choose for them. “Why do I always choose the wrong men? That’s part of the problem ladies. We are always choosing. Sometimes let go and let God choose”.
Beverly Naya in the past has been romantically linked with Uti Nwachukwu, which has denied vehemently.

England, perpetual under achievers, disgrace by tiny Iceland!

England were dealt a humiliating 2-1 defeat by minnows Iceland on Monday as Roy Hodgson's side crashed out of Euro 2016 in one of the most stunning upsets in the history of the game.
Ragnar Sigurdsson cancelled out Wayne Rooney's fourth-minute opener before Kolbeinn Sigthorsson's tame shot squirmed past England goalkeeper Joe Hart for an 18th-minute winner.
Three days on from Britain's vote to leave the European Union, England followed the country's lead by exiting Europe, their quest for a first title since the 1966 World Cup doomed to continue.
It ranked alongside their 1-0 loss to the part-timers of the United States at the 1950 World Cup and sent Iceland, appearing at their first major tournament, into a glamour quarter-final with hosts France.
England manager Roy Hodgson is now almost certain to lose his job, with Football Association chairman Greg Dyke having said recently that the team would have to "do well" in France for him to be offered a new contract.
Ironically, Hodgson's fate was sealed by his former protege Lars Lagerback -- Iceland's joint coach alongside Heimir Hallgrimsson -- who began his coaching career under the Englishman's tutelage in Sweden in the late 1970s.
As expected, Hodgson made six changes to his starting XI at a muggy Stade de Nice, which included a recall for Raheem Sterling.
The Manchester City forward was criticised for some insipid group-stage displays, but he made an excellent start, racing onto Daniel Sturridge's fine pass and drawing a foul from Iceland goalkeeper Hannes Halldorsson.
Rooney planted the penalty into the bottom-left corner to crown his 115th England appearance -- which tied David Beckham's record for an outfield player -- with a 53rd international goal.
- Attacking changes -
Remarkably, his side's lead was to last only 34 seconds.
Hodgson had warned of the dangers of Aron Gunnarsson's long throw-ins prior to the game, but from the Iceland captain's right-wing missile, Kari Arnason headed the ball on and Sigurdsson charged in behind a dosing Kyle Walker to volley home from close range.
It drew a roar from the blue-shirted fans in the Iceland end and after Dele Alli and Harry Kane had fired narrowly over for England, they were screaming with disbelief in the 18th minute.
Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson worked the ball to Sigthorsson and with England's defenders standing off, the Nantes striker rolled a shot goal-wards that Hart could only palm into his bottom-left corner.
Having also allowed a Gareth Bale free-kick to squirm past him in the 2-1 win over Wales, it was the City goalkeeper's second major blunder of the tournament.
Kane threatened to provide an immediate riposte with a stinging volley that was brilliantly palmed over by Halldorsson, but in the main Hodgson's men were reduced to long-range potshots.
Hodgson made two attacking changes -- Jack Wilshere replacing Eric Dier at half-time, Jamie Vardy taking Sterling's place on the hour -- but despite their firepower, there was no craft whatsoever to England's approach play.
Had Ragnar Sigurdsson's overhead bicycle kick not flown straight at Hart early in the second half, meanwhile, England would have had a mountain to climb.
But Sigthorsson's goal was to prove enough, with Alli hooking over and Kane heading straight at Halldorsson before the final whistle brought England's players to their knees and sent the Iceland bench tearing onto the pitch in celebration.

Ronaldo now the richest Athlete in the world!

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona striker Lionel Messi topped the Forbes magazine list of the world's highest-paid athletes on Wednesday in the wake of boxer Floyd Mayweather's retirement and back surgery for golfer Tiger Woods.
The annual list of total revenues for top sports stars had been topped 12 times by Woods and in three of the last four by Mayweather, who retired unbeaten last year.
This year, 31-year-old Portugal forward Ronaldo topped the list at $88 million (77.2 million euros) with $56 million in salary and $32 million more from endorsement deals.
The three-time FIFA player of the year is a marketing juggernaut with a new Nike deal worth $13 million annually plus endorsement partners such as Tag Heuer and Herbalife plus his own lines of suits, cologne, shirts, shoes, underwear and hotels.
Messi, who sat out Argentina's opening victory at the Copa America Centenario this week, was next at $81.4 million, with $28 million of that from sponsorships.
LeBron James, who leads the Cleveland Cavaliers against defending champion Golden State in the ongoing NBA Finals, was third on the list and tops among Americans with $77.2 million. He has endorsement deals of $54 million, including a lifetime pact with Nike that could pay off to the tune of $1 billion, and $23.2 million in club salary.
James made his movie debut in "Trainwreck" last year and is set to star in the sequel to the 1996 Michael Jordan film "Space Jam" as well as take a huge salary boost next year when the NBA's new $24 billion television deal starts.
Golden State's Stephen Curry, the NBA Most Valuable Player and scoring champion, shared 69th on $23.6 million with world number one golfer Jason Day of Australia.
Roger Federer, the Swiss tennis star with a record 17 men's Grand Slam singles titles, was fourth on $67.8 million. He set the pace in sponsor income at $60 million.
- Top 100 make $3.15 billion -
Television rights fee hikes helped fuel team sport stars, boosting the top-100 cutoff to $20.8 million, $2 million more than last year. The study time frame runs for the 12 months ending one week ago.
The top 100 include 65 Americans and athletes from 22 other nations encompassing 10 sports, with the most from baseball at 26. Together the top 100 took home a combined $3.15 billion, 29 percent of it from endorsements and appearances.
The 2015 leaders, Mayweather and Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao, both sank with the end of their ring careers. Mayweather dipped to 16th with $44 million in earnings while Pacquiao was 63rd at $24 million.
World number one Serena Williams, runner-up at this years French and Australian Opens, was the highest earning woman at $28.9 million, 40th overall, with doping-banned Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova 88th on $21.9 million.
Sixth overall on the list was Serbian Novak Djokovic, who cracked the top 10 for the first time at $55.8 million, with $34 million in endorsements. Djokovic won the French Open last Sunday to claim his fourth consecutive men's Grand Slam singles title and complete a career Grand Slam.
Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers star who retired after this past season, was 10th on $50 million, evenly split between salary and sponsorships.
British Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton was 11th on $46 million, only $4 million from endorsements.
Former world number one Woods, a 14-time major golf champion, was 12th on $45.3 million, all but about $274,000 of it from sponsorship deals.
Northern Ireland golfer Rory McIlroy was 17th at $42.6 million, Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal and Brazilian footballer Neymar shared 21st at $37.5 million.
Jamaica's Usain Bolt, who seeks more Olympic athletics sprint gold in two months at Rio, was 32nd at $32.5 million.

Aisha Buhari demands retraction from Fayose, after calling him a mad Dog.

The Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari on Wednesday demanded a full retraction of a widely-circulated material distributed by Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, in which he claimed to have uncovered how Mrs. Buhari was allegedly mentioned as having transferred funds to a convicted former U.S. lawmaker, Williams Jefferson.
In a warning letter dispatched through her legal representatives, Mrs. Buhari said Mr. Fayose’s action was directly responsible for the publication of the “very wild and unfounded” allegations in the media.
A copy of the letter, sent to Mr. Fayose via courier on Wednesday, was exclusively made available to PREMIUM TIMES.
Through the letter, titled: “Demand for unqualified retraction of the false statement published by you in various media on the 20th of June, 2016, and subsequent dates regarding our client, Her Excellency, Mrs. Aisha Buhari the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR,” the president’s wife gave Mr. Fayose five working days to retract the statement or face legal action.
“Our client has referred to us statement made by you and published on the 20th of June, 2016 (and other subsequent days) concerning and pertaining to her person for necessary action.
“The said statement which was caused by you and your agents to be widely circulated and published in various media platforms: print, electronic and online such as PREMIUM TIMES www.premiumtimesng.com on 20th of June, 2016, contains very wild, unfounded and false allegations and imputations against the person of our client.
“Specifically, in the said statement credited to you and signed by your Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, you, inter alia, false stated as follows:
“”Even the president cannot claim to be an angel. The estate he built in Abuja is known to us. His wife was indicted over the Halliburton Scandal (sic). When that American, Jeferson, was being sentenced, the President’s wife was mentioned as having wired $170,000 to Jefferson. Her name was on page 25 of the sentencing of Jefferson. We can serialise the judgement for people to see and read,” Ismaila Alasa and Mary Ekpene, who signed the letter on behalf of the law firm, said.
“Take notice that unless you and your agents meet our humble demands within 5 (five) working days of the receipt of this letter, we shall take all necessary steps within the contemplation of the law to seek redress for our client.”
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, could not immediately confirm or deny if Mary Ekpere & Co. is indeed the solicitors to Mr. Buhari.
Mr. Fayose had on Monday evening distributed a statement which contained excerpts of court documents sourced from the United States Department of Justice Website.
In the statement, Mr. Fayose said Mrs. Buhari was an accomplice in the bribery scandal that landed Mr. Jefferson in jail, saying he added the link as a proof.
Although an Aisha Buhari was mentioned in the case files, those who investigated the matter have, however, said that Aisha Buhari is an impostor and not the wife of Mr. Buhari.
Two former chairman of Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, have come out within the past two days say Mrs. Buhari had no connection with the Jefferson bribery scandal.
In separate interviews with PREMIUM TIMES on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, Ibrahim Lamorde, the immediate past chairman of the EFCC, and Nuhu Ribadu, the pioneer head of the agency, said they carried out extensive investigation into the case during their respective tenures and established that the woman named in the scandal was an impostor of the president’s wife.
Mr. Buhari himself had in the past stated, categorically, that he had no connection with the Aisha Buhari in the Jefferson scandal, who is also said to be based in the United States.

Terrorists Fulani herdsmen kill 13 in Tiv communities of Benue State, North Central Nigeria.

No fewer than 13 persons have been killed by suspected Fulani Herdsmen in two local government areas of Logo and Ukum in Benue State.
The attack is coming barely three days after Governor Samuel Ortom met with stakeholders from Katsina-Ala, Ukum and Logo local government areas to deliberate on ways to tackle the incessant herdsmen attacks.
This is the third attack within last Saturday and Sunday this week, where 59 persons were reportedly killed in the area.
The Benue State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Moses Yamu, confirmed that four people were killed in the Vaase community of Ukum, while three corpses were recovered in Anyiin and one in Uzer in Logo LGA of the state. He said five corpses were recovered from Tsukwa.
Yamu said the attacks were carried out simultaneously at 2am by the suspected herdsmen.
Speaking on the new development, former Senior Special Assistant on Media to the former governor, Gabriel Suswam, who hails from Anyiin, Chief Joseph Anawah, said that five persons were first shot dead at Tsukwa settlement before security operatives came to the place.
He maintained that the attackers, however, continued shooting in some places and that he saw two corpses recovered at Anyiin, while several others injured were receiving treatment at NKST Hospital at Anyiin.
In his reaction, the State Coordinator of Myetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Garus Gololo, who had earlier blamed the incessant crisis on continuing reprisal from the two warring factions, said the inability of former governor Suswam to resolve issues between the herdsmen and the farmers was responsible for the frequent crises.

Boko Haram launches a Radio Station

According to a report monitored on the Hausa service of the Voice of America, the Islamist sect, Boko Haram has established an FM radio station.
Residents in Tolkomari, which is in the far northern part of Cameroon, have confirmed receiving broadcast messages from the sect via the radio station on 96.8 frequency modulation.
The Voice of America report said the station broadcast mainly propaganda materials to counter media reports of victories by troops from Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Niger Republic against the Boko Haram militants.
The report said the Cameroonian government is worried by the new development and has commenced investigations towards locating the radio station, which is said to be on the Nigeria-Cameroon border.

Boko Haram kills 24 in Adamawa wake attack.

Boko Haram insurgents on Thursday night attacked Kuda-Kaya village in Madagali local Government Area of Adamawa state, killing 24 persons during a wake.
One of the residents, Abdul Ibrahim, who spoke on Friday morning, said the insurgents, numbering over 100, came at about 10 pm on Thursday shooting indiscriminately and in the propose killed 24 persons.
He said during the attack, 10 persons also sustained various degrees of injuries.
He said 18 corpses were discovered on Thursday night after the insurgents had left the village, while the remaining six corpses were removed from the surrounding buses after the break of dawn.
He lamented that the majority of persons killed were women and children. He added that those injured in the attack were rushed to Gulak Cottage Hospital, three kilometres from the village, for treatment.
Another resident of the village, Jacob Gulak, who also spoke to our correspondent via the phone, said he counted 18 corpses, adding that 10 other persons were injured.

Buhari’s Northern Agenda Hits A Snag : We are better off when we are all better off. By Ena Ofugara.

Buhari's Northern Agenda Hits A Snag: We are better off when we are all better off.

By Ena Ofugara

It was supposed to be easy. The Ijaw man has been removed and Yoruba Tinubu curtailed. The Years of planning is gone. Now it is to execute and return the North to her pride of place and make "ALHAJI" and everything Northern KING AGAIN.  Yes! the Obasanjo and Goodluck years and progress of the southerner must be reversed. The Northernization Policy of Ahmahdu Bello is reborn.

It is easy.

1. Stop the killings in the North East. Grant Boko Haram members amnesty. negotiate with them and declare the Boko Haram war over, even without actual battles.

2. Take a loan of 2.1 billion dollars to develop the North East.

3. Set up a Northern something something commission and use the VAT of southerners, VAT from products like beer and whisky that Northerners refuse to allow sold, to develop the land.

4. Get Fulani grazing lands all over the nation. A little killing in Agatu and Enugu will make Nigerians so scared, they will be glad of the grazing lands to avoid their massacre.

5. Use "anti corruption" to ensure the moneys/capital of southern Nigerians are frozen and seized or hidden from use. With just Dasuki as bait, get all southerners he gave money, while leaving Hausa-Fulani and big guns of Yorubaland like Olu Falaye. With their rich men scampering, the southern economy dies.

6. Begin the appointments of Northerners. Bring them from retirement if need be. They must head it all.

7. Secretly employ Northern youths in CBN and everywhere.

8. Throw in weak Yorubas to have them shut up. Like a Kemi for instance, she can be bossed around. Have El Rufai close Mark the Yoruba Veepee. Not to worry about Igbos. They will sell their people over cheques that can bounce. Ask Ngige and Rochas. For the Niger Delta, closemark The CBN boss since we cannot just remove him. And Kachikwu, hmmm. You know he knows the job. We should just keep watch closely.

9. Stop them from getting dollars. Make sure only Dangote and neighbourhood Abokis find dollars. Once we truly control the dollars, we control the nation.

10. Kill the Niger Deltans and their militants. Stop the militant payments and security payments. This used to be Northern jobs taken now by locals. The security of the pipes and payment for it must return to the North. Oil is Fulani racket as pharmacy is Igbo racket and stock exchange Yoruba racket. Niger Deltans must realize the North owns the oil. Find and kill Tompolo. Use militants from the area to implicate Tompolo. We must control everything.

11. Elevate Sharia

12. Kidnap their girls, impregnate them and increase the Northern muslim population.

13. Kill anyone who gathers over BIAFRA. Keep Nnamdi Kanu in prison for no benefit whatsoever. It is not as if the man has an army to fight the nation. But just keep him in prison to help with the Northern erection. Yes. it is invigorating. It is viagra.

14. Whatever you do, get the people to say say SAI BUHARI and call him MR INTEGRITY even if nothing he has ever done in his life, from writing WAEC to taking coups, to losing billions in every office, be it NNPC boss or PTF boss, to employing only his tribesmen to refusing to publicly declare asset as promised, to not having a First Lady etc etc, shows he has no integrity at alllllll. Just always say SAI BABA. Say MR INTEGRITY.

Yes it was SUPPOSED to be easy.

1. But the Agatu and Enugu killings only turned people away from the grazing reserve.

2. Controlling the dollar meant international financial backers like JP Morgan etc left.

3. And what is dollar in Aboki's hand when the Igbo man cannot make a profit from the amount he is asked to buy it?

3. Finding Tompolo to kill has lost the nation billions of dollars and counting and the Niger Deltans seem more in support now of militancy than ever before. Now Nigerians realize just how important the region is and how brilliant Yar Adua and GEj were with their negotiations there. Aboki power is no longer super power.

4. And Biafra just won't go away

5. And Dangote finds there is no money to buy his flour and sugar and cement and everything else

6. And with all the Northerners in charge of customs etc, business there is plummeting. With old old old Audu Ogbe as Agric Minister, though not Northern but a good stooge anyway, tomato and everything agriculture has plummeted. Owning a big farm does not make one an agricultural expert.

7. And the increased poverty of the southerner is beginning to reflect on the Northerner too. There is no money to dash bambiallah. No boys are buying girls suya in evening strolls. If the girl does not want to do, she can go. What is kilishi? Is it the name of a kangaroo? Pay which Maiguard? Guard which property? Pls let thieves come. They may take pity and give us money. Enter which Okada? For how much? No worry, I will pray at home and send my offering to pastor. If I cannot trek to church, no church.

And so, while they think that finally Jonathan is out and they can take back their country, a few are already finding out that WE ARE BETTER OFF WHEN WE ARE ALL BETTER OFF.

7 Essential Things that Men find attractive about a Women.

Men are very visual and simple creatures, for
them, attraction and infatuation happens very
quickly, they don’t need to know a lot about
you in order to become attracted. Basically,
it’s all down to your first impression. It’s also
true that in time, this changes and their
appreciation for you will be at a much deeper
level but for starters here are the things that
catch mens eyes:

1. A cheerful woman
Nothing turns a man off more than a
depressed and mean attitude. If you want to
get that extra attention make sure you look
cheerful because a flirty giggle and a cheerful
attitude can quickly melt any man’s heart.
I agree that it’s not always easy to have such
an attitude but if you can think about the
happier side of life, all the time, this will
happen naturally. It’s the same for you isn’t
it? Would you date a guy that hates his life
and is genuinely miserable? Probably not, so
think about this next time you go out.

2. A well dressed, good looking woman
Yes, men are attracted by looks, you knew it, I
have said it and it’s the truth. But do not
worry because this doesn't mean you have to
undergo plastic surgery. Dressing well and
looking good are things that you can
immediately change. Caring about what you
put on and the way you apply some make-up
can be detrimental when it comes to attracting
men.
Just focus on dressing well and feeling good
about yourself. If you feel good about how you
look then the people around you will feel the
same way. You don’t have to wear flashy
color clothes or anything like that, just be
confident, have well fitted clothes and use a
little bit of perfume and you’ll be attracting
some males in no time.

3. A flirty woman
There’s nothing like a woman that can flirt
back. We know that in order to attract a
woman we have to flirt. Sadly, often times
they don’t flirt back but…when they do…it’s
absolutely amazing. Flirting back puts you in a
very strong WOMANLY position, not only are
getting in control but also you are acting like a
woman. A womanly woman is absolutely
infatuating for any man on this planet.
What do you need to do? Simple things like
curling your lips or biting them slightly, raising
your eyebrows when you make a smart
remark, jiggling at our jokes, being genuinely
interested in what we say – these sort of
things. If you can’t yet master this subtle art,
try looking at yourself in the mirror and
exercise there. It may seem awkward at first
but it will help you get the hand of things fairly
quickly.

4. Show us some skin
Now this isn’t a guide on how to be slutty
however, that little bit of extra skin turns our
heads in an instant. Too much skin is a cry for
attention and men know it but if you play it
subtle – It will work a lot better.
A shirt or a tee that ends just right around
where your jeans start or a perfectly fitting top
with a wider neck that shows a bit but yet
needs a bit of craning to get a peep is just the
perfect combination. We love those nearly-
there peeks and it drives us crazy.

5. A seductive voice
Again, this isn’t about changing your voice but
using it correctly. There are little things in life
that make the hair on a man’s back raise with
excitement and a woman’s voice is one of
them. Mastering the art of the seductive voice
takes time so don’t focus on it too much.
Men are turned off by high pitched glass
shattering squeals that most women use when
they’re surprised or ecstatic with joy. A low
and soft voice is obviously more attractive.
Lucky for you, it’s actually not that hard to
speak in a low, softer tone without seeming
like you’re trying too hard. Exercise your new
found talent on the phone but don’t blame me
if the guy on the other line starts to get flirty.

6. A Damsel In Distress
Maybe the term damsel in distress is too much
for this but you get the idea, a woman in need.
This may actually be a man’s dream, to help
out a woman in need…as it gives them the
perfect opportunity to be A MAN in front of
you.
Men love to feel wanted and then appreciated
by women. You might think that men hate
doing errands and stuff like that but we hate it
only when we’re in a long term relationship. At
the beginning, we are at your disposal so use
us in any way you want. So, if you know a
single guy, go up to him with a smile on your
face and ask him to help you with something,
chances are he’ll jump to your help
immediately.
We love women that ask for our help, it just
makes us feel manlier and it gives us the
opportunity to have a conversation with you.
And when you thank us with a flirty smile,
there’s a good chance we’ll do anything to get
your number.

7. A woman who acknowledges a man’s stare
This is the first step in seduction and probably
the most important. You need to have the
ability to acknowledge our stares. Sure, some
guys have a lot of guts and approach you
instantly but most guys don’t have this type of
attitude and you need to give them at least the
slightest reason to react.
Many guys will try to get your attention by
giving a manly stare. React to this by looking
back at them. You don’t even have to smile
(sure if you do, you give them even more
reasons to approach you) but even just
acknowledging their look is enough. You don’t
need to do this with every guy that looks at
you, but if he seems decent enough, do it.
Also, you don’t need to marry him or have his
babies but this will give you the chance meet a
guy, you can decide later if he’s your type or
not …if no guy comes to you in any given
night, how will you ever find a guy this way?
This simple acknowledgement of a stare is the
most important thing you can do if you want
to get a guy to notice you and come in for the
approach.
In conclusion, now that you have this
knowledge make sure you use it wisely. There
are a lot of women out there that just scream
for attention, don’t be that woman because we
men, hate her. Attract us but show us that
you’re different when we approach you, this is
how long term relationships are built.

If your children suddenly becomes more important to you than your husband, then you need prayers.

1. The wife that wins all arguments with her
husband is not wise. The home is not a law
court.
2. The wife that uses sex as a weapon in the
home - placing embargo, going to bed in jeans
shorts and trousers -lacks wisdom.
3. The wife that uses the modern trends and
laws of "women's rights" to insult or ridicule
her husband simply makes a fool of herself.
4. A woman that makes her home devoid of
peace through bickering, nagging and quarrels
needs help. A man should be eager to run
away from office to be at home, for that
should be the safest and closest place on
earth for him.
5. Modern-day equality in marriage does not
mean competition, It simply means
partnership. Taking advantage of such equality
to turn around and become the defector head
of the home and oppress the man is
tantamount to playing with fire. If
you destroy your home, soon you will be the
boss of an empty home.
6. A wise wife makes the man feel so good
that he assumes that he is the head. Once he
gets that feeling, the woman gently wields
her power and the head actually turns to
wherever the neck wants without a protest.
7. A wife that does not pull herself away from
friends' influence and advice or even from the
control of her mother and father will have
herself to blame.
8. When a man is looking for a wife, he
bypasses women of different shapes and sizes
to choose a wife But soon after
childbirth, many women hide under the
excuse of childbirth to let go of themselves.
Many stop bothering about their looks, shape,
dressing, etc. Within 5 years of
marriage, people start wondering if the wife is
the man's aunt, even though she is 7 years
younger. Her defence is that if he truly loves
her, he should love her the way she is but
when looking for a wife, he saw people like the
present YOU and ignored them and settled for
the former YOU. Today, you go to bed
smelling of onions.... You go to bed wearing
grandmothers' clothes. Why are you playing
with your marriage? Love is not about looks -
we know But looks enhances love and
marriage There is a difference between
someone disfiguring herself and the person
being disfigured by an accident.
Please don't be complacent. As hard as it may
be, work on looking like you were when he
first saw you and began the chase.
9. If every night you are tired, sleepy, sore,
down with headache or fever, "not in the
mood," you are a joker, a serious comedian!
10. If your children suddenly become more
important to you than your husband, you need
prayers.
11. If you assume that as the woman, only you
need to be pampered and fussed over while
the man is a stone that has no
emotions, you need to be pitied.
12. A woman that has the mind of a wife does
not excite her husband. Wives are usually
complacent and presumptuous. A
wife must strive to have the mind of a
girlfriend, A girlfriend is always nicer, sweeter,
more loving and always thinking of ways to
wow her sweetheart; a girlfriend
does not try to win all arguments, does not
call the man a "useless man", is not careless
about her looks or dressing, always smiles
and laughs with the man, sends the man
sweet messages and calls, etc. Are you your
husband's girlfriend in word and in deed?

Any woman who talks for two hours and listen for two minutes is a potential bomb. Men, be wise!

My son, I will be very raw and sincere with
you. Do not worry about the size of a woman
buttock or breast but worry about the size of
her heart and brain. Worry about the size of
her love and endurance. Because after 5 or
10 years, it will not be about the breast or
buttock.
As you can see, your mum now has a flat
chest and almost flat buttock but we still live
together happily, I still love her and she still
love me.
Be careful of a woman that loves money. I
mean the woman that talks ‘every time’ about
her hair, cloths, shoes, bags panties and
make-ups. Marriage is not all about these
things. Without make-up, cloths, shoes and
panties a good marriage will still stand but
without love, no marriage can stand.
When I got married to your mum, I didn’t
have a car or house of my own. I was not
even educated. But I had dreams and she
appreciate and support me. Any woman that
does not support your dream is not worth
thinking- a-minute about. There are women
that will see your dreams better than you, you
are lucky if you find one, My son, open your
ears very well, there is a kind of woman you
should avoid, do not make a mistake to marry
this kind of woman or you will regret it. I mean
a woman that always has bad things to say
about everyone. If you see this kind of woman,
run away. One of the worst kind of woman you
can marry is the one that complains about
everything. If you buy this, she says you
should have bought that, if you do this, she
said you should have done that. Please stay
away!
Most women enjoy talking but the one who
talks for two hours and listen for two minutes
is a potential ‘bomb’. Be wise
Be very careful of a pretending partner. A
pretending woman is not hard to know. She
will always know everything about everything,
she will be careful. Just close your eyes and
open your heart and you will see!
No woman is perfect. If you see a woman who
believes in your dream , who respects you
who is committed and who is not all about
herself alone then don’t let her go.

Defensive Women don't have a Happy home!

Ladies; do you want to be a good wife? Just

Kachikwu reduced Amaechi to size over the establishment of Maritime University, during a town hall meeting in Uyo.

Kachikwu  disagreed with the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, on the establishment and maintenance of the Maritime University in Akwa-Ibom.
“I disagree with the minister of transport. Any facility in the South-south, we should work towards developing it, I don’t care the circumstance. It is not my business whether land was valued at 19 or 10 million,” he said responding to Amaechi’s claim that land for the university was valued at N13 billion.
“That has nothing to do with development of infrastructure. As far as I know, so much has already gone into that, so much fiscal asset has been developed. We are not going to throw away the baby and the bath water.
“We’ll deal with the issues but the university will be developed. If he (Amaechi) doesn’t want it in maritime, I will take it in Petroleum.
“On the issue of negotiations, again I disagree with him. There’s no theatre in the world where conflicts are being resolved through battle. It doesn’t matter who’s right, who’s wrong.”

Niger Delta Avengers gives conditions for dialogue! Will the Federal Government meet those conditions?

The Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), the militant group responsible for a series of attacks on oil installations in the Niger Delta, has listed its conditions for dialoguing with the federal government.
“But it warned the government against making the peace talks “a political jamboree”.
In a statement issued by Muduch Agbinibo, its spokesman, on Monday, the group, said it desired a “genuine attitude” from the government before it would commit to any dialogue.
It urged the government to be wary of “social media agitators” whom it claimed were being sponsored by politicians.”The high command of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) is using this medium to restate that there are no new items to put on the table for dialogue; we only want a genuine attitude and conducive atmosphere that will make us commit to any proposed dialogue and lasting peace talk,” it said.
“We want the federal government to commit members states of the multinational oil corporations to commit independent mediators to this proposed dialogue; we believe that it is only such environment that will engender genuine dialogue that will be aimed at setting up a framework for achieving the short, medium and long term demands of the Niger Delta to de-escalate this conflict and bring about lasting peace.
“The NDA high command is restating our commitment to attack the interest of oil corporation and international refineries operators that bring in vessels to the Niger Delta territory to buy our oil that every successive government has refused to use and reapply the proceeds towards any development in the region since 1958.
“Refusal to heed our advice will result to sinking of two their mother vessel as an example to others. They should not undertake any repair of pipeline, oil and gas facilities that are damaged or attacked by our forces during this period of ‘Operation Red Economy’ until and/or after the dialogue.
“We are using this medium to warn and condemn the activities of all brands of social media agitators being peddled around by some politicians to promote their criminal ways in affairs of the Niger Delta. This genuine spirit behind our struggle for the Niger Delta cannot be derailed on the basis of connivance by politicians, traditional rulers, settled ex-agitators and criminals moving around to fill their pockets.
“The issues of the Niger Delta are as old and as new as the days of Pa Dappa Biriye, Major Jasper Isaac Adaka Boro, Ken Saro Wiwa and the government of President Musa Yar’ Adua. We are warning this government of President muhammadu Buhari not to turn the essence of genuine peace talk and dialogue to political jamboree that is prevailing now where all manner of social media agitators and criminals are being sponsored by the job-seeking corrupt political class to save face before the government of the day.
“Finally, if need be, we may review our earlier stance of not taking lives. We are going to redirect and reactivate all our activities if the government, oil companies and their service firms don’t heed to these modest warnings of not carrying out any repair works, and suspend the buying of crude oil from our region as we await the right atmosphere that will engender genuine dialogue. We want peace with honour, not peace of our time.”

Shocker! Kelechi's thoughts are becoming realities!

A Facebook user, Kelechi Ekezie, during the 2015 election campaigns had posted a comment on Facebook about the possible outcome of General Muhammadu Buhari winning the elections which was upcoming at the time.
Point by point, he predicted what would be the future of Nigeria under a President Buhari and warned Nigerians against the choice. Many dismissed the post which was made late 2014 as as election time “propaganda”. Even the author dismissed his writing as far-fetched and unlikely to happen. But, still, he warned Nigerians about their choices.
Guess what? It happened. And Ekezie’s Facebook note is now a reference point as Nigeria deteriorates under the leadership rulership of General Muhammadu Buhari. It’s an eerie feeling that comes upon anybody who reads this list of 22-point predictions and discover that about 10 of the predictions have come to pass.
Read the essay below:
It’s May 29th 2015. The North is aflame with celebration. So, too, is the South west. There is a mourning spirit pervading the South East and South South and parts of North Central. Except for the efulefu circles celebrating…
General Muhammadu Buhari is being sworn in as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
* Buhari, upon assumption of power announces a major probe into federal government ministries, departments and agencies, MDAs, since 1999. Massive jubilations rent the North, and South West. With efulefus too… [Fulfilled]
* Buhari sacks all services chiefs and security heads. Replaces all with mostly Hausa-Fulani folks. The North hail endlessly. The South West hails too, but in a lower tone. The South South and South East are silent, save for the efulefus among them celebrating cautiously… [Fulfilled]
* Buhari orders immediate relocation of all amouries in the South back to the North, calling Obasanjo and Jonathan “outlaws” for moving amouries away from the North. Jubilation in the North, SW jubilate half heartily… efulefus celebrate nervously… [Uncertain]
* Buhari declares war on corruption. Reverses the privatization of PHCN, claiming it was fraudulently sold off. North roars in joy, South West murmur,
efulefus smile about nervously… [Threatened but not done yet]
* Buhari cancels second Niger bridge project, citing it as one of Jonathan’s corruption based projects. North explodes in joy, South West scratch their heads, South East and South West mourn deeply, efulefus now confused. [Technically, done]
* Buhari suspends all upgrade work at Calabar/Onne seaports, citing corruption in the award of the contracts and also that the ports are a conduit for insurgents to bring in arms into the Niger Delta. Now the efulefus begin to grumble silently…the North rejoices… [Fulfilled – projects defunded]
* Fulani herdsmen kill thousands in night raids in the North Central. [Fulfilled] Christian militias retaliate at once. Buhari orders a nation-wide revocation of all firearms licenses, [Fulfilled] sends soldiers and police on door to door search for firearms, whether licensed or not… Observers note these raids are all in the North Central and Southern Nigeria. [In the works]
* Reports of silent killings, especially of opposition politicians keep coming in. The Buhari-led federal government denies complicity. There is terror and deep fear in the land. Anti-govt activists and groups begin to mobilize against the tyrannical govt. [Unravelling]
* AIT, Silverbird TV and Channels TV shut down by the Buhari-led government for “instigating crisis” in the polity. [Contemplated, except for Channels TV, the mouthpiece of the Buhari government]. The media houses proceed to court, the court orders their reopening at once, Buhari ignores the court orders. [Disobeying court orders fulfilled]
* 2016 population census is done: Kano alone gets a population of 35 million, all the South East states put together get barely 36 million. The South West states plus Lagos get barely 45 million. The day begins to break for the efulefus …
* Buhari bans the use of FaceBook and Twitter in Nigeria. [Contemplated] Prescribes harsh jail terms of an IP is traced to any social media site. [Social Media Bill proposed] Quarrels and disagreements spark off between Osibanjo and Buhari. Hundreds of young people are hauled into jail for Facebooking.
* MEND attacks oil pipelines, crippling oil production. Buhari orders thousands of troops to crush them.[Fulfilled, but ‘MEND’ is Niger Delta Avengers] Bitter fighting breaks out in the Niger Delta, leaders of the Niger Delta movement are arrested and executed without trial. Now the South West is silent… efulefus nowhere to be found…
* Buhari announces a major slash in fed allocation to states, citing the war in the Niger Delta. Nigerians are furious with the excruciating hard times, the federal government explains that the monumental damage done to the economy by decades of military rule plus 16 years of PDP misrule cannot be fixed in 4 years. Now the generality of Nigerians are swallowing hard… [Fulfilled]
* IBB, GEJ, OBJ etc all rally together to form a common front against Buhari’s govt. Tinubu falls out with Buhari and joins in the coalition. Buhari orders their arrest and slams them into detention. Their lawyers proceed to court to secure the freedom. All the court orders are damned by the Buhari led govt. [2nd sentence fulfilled]
* 2019 elections approach. More reports of silent killings. The opposition parties are too afraid to campaign or field a candidate against Buhari. Tinubu charges NADECO to fight on hard against the dictatorship of Buhari as they “gallantly” did against Abacha. The South East and South South laugh at him, asking him to go and tame the monster he unleashed from chain unto Nigerians himself.
* 90% of the political parties adopt Buhari as their candidate. All opposition leaders have fled the country, some missing. Militants in the Niger Delta step up operations, routing the army and advancing northwards. Thousands of volunteers join them, along with other militant groups to push Buhari’s forces off the region.
* Buhari suspends Nollywood, declaring them a “source of immorality”… Nigerians now are too afraid to resist. Many journalists are arrested and detained for writing against the government.
* Brazil and Israel announce their support for the groups fighting the federal government. They provide support and logistics. Now the Buhari-led federal government gets real jittery. Inflation spirals out of control, over 25m people displaced by the bitter fighting. Looting, rape and robbery by both citizens and military personnel become very high.
* A major mutiny occurs within the armed forces. A nation-wide state of emergency is declared. Rumours of the death of some past presidents in detention filters out. A nation-wide state of emergency is declared. No more elections. Year after year, the state of emergency on the nation is maintained. The system grinds to a halt. Buhari. Is accused of refusing to lift the emergency state so as to foist himself as president for life.
* The South East and South South declare independence from Nigeria. 14 nations recognize them. The FG calls it illegality of the highest order…
* North Central declares independence.
* The federal government calls for meeting of all “aggrieved regions” to reconcile. None is interested.
Well, well peeps, welcome to my imagination! Do you think these events lack bizarre possibilities?
Personally, I don’t believe Nigerians have so offended the universe to deserve this.
So we can only avoid such scenarios by not bringing such unto ourselves via our choices.
Think well, vote wisely…Peace.

Southern Kaduna rejects Grazing Reserve in its area.

SOUTHERN KADUNA
REJECTS GRAZING RESERVES
The ethnic
nationalities in Southern Kaduna, who are the aboriginal people of Chikun,
Lere, Kagarko, Jema’a, Zangon Kataf, Sanga, Kaura, Kauru, Kachia, and Jaba
Local Government Areas, reject totally,
any plan to implement or make any edict or law or whatsoever action that will lead
government to creating or starting or resuscitating any Grazing Reserves in
their homelands. This is after a very serious consideration of the social,
religious, political and security implication on the area both in short and
long term basis. This is because as people from the grassroots, our present relationship
with herdsmen at this time, at best, is suspicious. And we plead that government
takes this as our genuine concern in terms of what looks as slowly improving
relations, not to assist in shattering it.
Our people shall
surely resist Grazing Reserves, especially new ones. We call on the government
of Kaduna state which has been encouraging peace, development and mutual
respect for each group in the state to shelve any of the aforementioned plans
if it really means well for Southern Kaduna. We encourage Kaduna state
government to go ahead with these reserves in the Northern part where there are
also very suitable grazing lands and herdsmen are bound to feel more at home.
We therefore, call on you to sign in support of this petition.

Thank you,

Coalition of Southern Kaduna Indigenous Groups.

Poor Power supply: Senator Shehu Sani for Minister's sack!

Kaduna legislator and chairman of the senate committee on domestic debt and loans, Shehu Sani has spoken up regarding the lack of electricity being experienced across the country.
According to a report by Daily Post , Sani said there was no excuse for the kind of hardship Nigerians were facing, describing the lack of power supply as unacceptable and embarrassing.
Speaking further, Senator Sani called on President Muhammadu Buhari to review his appointments, advising him not only to appoint an electrical engineer, but one who has the knowledge of the industry.
His words: “We are in a state of paralysis, and there is urgent need to appoint a reputable electrical engineer to manage the affairs of power, independent of other responsibilities.
“Distribution Companies (DISCOs) were now distributing darkness despite increment in electricity tariff; private power investors have failed the nation by moving manageable power epilepsy to a complete paralysis.”
Sani went on to beseech the President to review the defunct Power Holdings Company of Nigeria assets, adding that privatisation of power regime had not yielded positive dividends in the life of the average Nigerian.

Power supply: PMB, Fashola and the unkept Promises - By John Danfulani, Ph.D

POWER SUPPLY: PMB, FASHOLA AND THE UNKEPT PROMISES

                               By

                        John Danfulani,Ph.D
                        Johndanfulani@gmail.com
                       Jondanfulani@yahoo.com

Am yet to understand why the APC government of PMB has not declared a state of emergency on power supply in Nigeria.Negative consequences of lack of adequate power supply on the economy and at the personal level are unquantifiable. In his speech of 29th May 2015, PMB lamented the state of power production and supply in the country. And declared that it's  a national shame. Mr. President promised to identify the quickest, cheapest and safest means of tackling the problem.

Records shows, as at 29th May  2015, our generating capacity was 4,000MW. Juxtaposing that with our huge population of 180m people, there is no doubt that 4000MW we were generating can't measure up with our demand. Ironically, between 1999-2007 over 16b USD was invested in power. This figure is being disputed in some quarters because of differences that emanated from many public hearings that started from the 6th National Assembly  down the line.

As I write, today, PMB's regime has not been able to add one single MW of power after one year in office. The regime has not been able to maintain the production level of 4000MW PMB inherited.Another meaning of this is,PMB has not invested a dime on power since assuming of office in 2015. By this, there is nothing to doubt that, his pledged of working out safest, quickest and cheapest means of improving power supply on 29th May 2015 was a mere statement to just spice up his inaugural speech.

Lamenting the deteriorating power supply in Nigeria Sen. Shehu Sani said we have graduated from the "darkness of a tunnel to that of a cave, and from that of epileptic supply to paralysis". In my opinion, the situation is even graver than painted by the Comrade Member of the Red Chamber. I see our unfortunate situation as a graduation from mere darkness to the darkness of the grave or that of hell fire.

Apart from gross incompetency of PMB and his minister of power, the goddess of nemesis is on rampage. While in opposition, the present minister of power accused the former regime of unseriousness and ineptitude regarding epileptic and erratic power supply in Nigeria. And promised to sink the problem  in just six months, if they have an opportunity to lead this country. Today, Babatunde Raji Fashola(SAN) is not only in government but minister in-charge of power.Has the former Governor of Lagos State  walked his talk within the six months that he said? From what we saw and still seeing ,can Fashola walk his talks even in two decades? The only achievement recorded by Fashola was an increment in tariff of a power per megawatt. Is that in tandem with their populist tantrums?

All we are saying is, we want to see the change they promised us. We don't want this  "progress of a well digger"( ci gaban mai haka rijiya) we are seeing in Nigeria now.Period.

Lists of retired Army General alleged to be loyal to former administration.

The retirement of senior officers of the Nigerian Army announced on Friday by the military high command, is generating massive controversy, as affected officers are accusing the military authorities of sectional and political bias.
Speaking with SaharaReporters on the condition of anonymity, many of the affected officers claimed that their premature retirement from the military was a result of sectional and political considerations  rather than involvement in corruption and partisan politics. The Army, in a widely circulated press statement, had attributed the retirement of the officers to involvement in corruption and political partisanship.
On the release of the press statement by the Nigerian Army spokesperson, Colonel SK Usman, SaharaReporters requested the identities of affected officers,  but  Usman said it is not in the tradition of the military to give out names of retired officers. Attempts at getting the number of retired officers from the army spokesperson was similarly rebuffed.
But a sentence in the statement -"People should therefore not read this out of context"-advising the public against reading meanings into the retirement exercise, suggested that the process had been less than wholesome.
A list obtained by SaharaReporters showed that a large percentage of the affected officers hail from the southern parts of the country. The list included a former Aide De Camp to former President Goodluck Jonathan, and several high ranking military officers that worked with his predecessor, late President Umar Yar'adua.
In extensive interviews with some of the officers, they said they believed they were targeted because of their ethnicity and their perceived affiliation to the Peoples Democratic Party and former President Goodluck Jonathan. At least, three Major-Generals from the South-South geo-political zone were reportedly retired. Major-General Letam Wiwa, a younger brother of the late environmental rights activist, Ken Saro-Wiwa, was retired. However, there is no evidence that he was ever investigated for corruption, Col. Tonye Minimah, a younger brother of the former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Kenneth Minimah, was also retired.
Lieutenant -Colonel FD Kayode, a military commander who served in Gombe State, the only Northern state in which the PDP won overwhelmingly in last year's general elections, was reportedly retired on the suspicion that he aided in the rigging of the election in favour of the PDP. Also retired is the former Aide-de-Camp to former President Umaru Yar’Adua, Brigadier-General Mustapha Onoyiveta, a Delta State indigene.
Military sources told SaharaReporters that the list of officers for compulsory retirement was compiled by the office of the National Security Adviser, which, on Friday, passed it to the Minister of Defence, Major General Dan Ali (rtd). Ali then summoned the heads of Navy, Airforce and the Army to serve them a list of officers to be retired from each of the services.
Some of the Senior military officers retired
Sahara Reporters Media
Many affected officers said they were never involved in corruption or election matters and attributed their retirement to a desire by the government to “cleanse” the military of some officers perceived to be politically powerful. They opined that with three major internal security crises currently plaguing the country, the sack of hugely experienced military officers is to the disadvantage of the country.

El-Rufai called his critics Ants.

What a shame for a governor to called his critics Ants.

KADUNA WILL BE GREAT AGAIN- BY GEORGE MAKERI

Some of those unscrupulous APC scoundrels we call brothers in Southern Kaduna mischievously refused to consider the continual arrest of our gallant youths by the El-Rufai police; the consistent kidnap, rape and sometimes, murder of our mothers and sisters by El-Rufai's fulani kinsmen; the regular assaults and murder of our fathers, children and grandfathers and etc in Kajuru Local Government area by El-Rufai's herdsmen, as postulated in the previous episode of this series - but they were quick to observe that Emanuel Francis was not death. The APC gremlins quickly stole the opportunity to scream foul over what they perceived as a blunder from us. It didn't occur to the APC goblins that the fact that Emanuel Francis is alive, is simply a miracle. Emanuel Francis himself said he didn't know how he made it to St. Gerald Hospital. That means, he fainted from the stabs and blows and his assailants thought he was death and left. However you want to look at it, that was a murder case. An attempted murder is murder, whether the victim lives or dies. They went with the intention to murder their victim and they did. That Francis survived today is a testimony. He survived to tell us why he was attacked. If he were death, we wouldn't have known it was a case of not joining the Muslims to fast during the month of Ramadan that resulted to his murder - just like we don't know what resulted to the murder of another Francis whose corpse was found in a tank belonging to Faz Oil, a company he worked with, along Television road in Kaduna on Thursday June 9, 2016. The circumstances surrounding the murder of this Faz Oil Francis remains a mystery to this day. This Faz Oil Francis was a 25-year old welder who went missing since May 27th 2016. Because the dead stay dumb, we may never know the circumstances leading to this Francis's death. We may never know why he was killed. It may be because he was a Christian, or because he was accused of a blasphemy based on a religion that wasn't his.

Let me digress a little. What those terrorists Muslims who assault Christians based on blasphemy are refusing to understand is; a Christian can denigrate the person of the prophet of Islam and that Christian has not blasphemed - this is because Christianity does not recognise the prophet of Islam even though I am not advocating that Christians should do so. Only Muslims can blasphem if they attack the person of the prophet of Islam - this is because Muslims should know better. For a Christian to become a Muslim, he has to recite the 'Shahada'. The Shahada is an affirmation that there is only one God and the prophet of Islam is his prophet. No Christian believes in the 'Shahada', which is one of the pillars of Islam; why then must Christians be subjected to the dictates of a belief they don't share? This is reprehensible and barbaric. If that be the case, Muslims blasphem against Christianity all the time. Anytime a Muslim say Jesus is not the son of God (which is one of the Islamic beliefs), he has blasphemed - should he then be assaulted by Christians for blasphemy? Christians understand that Muslims will always blasphem against Christianity based on Islamic beliefs. Muslims too must understand that Christians will always blasphem againsts Islam based on Christian beliefs. This mutual understanding is essential for a peaceful co-existence.

Now back to the matter. Why was the Faz Oil Francis murdered? Governor El-Rufai has a duty to burst this cases as the chief executive officer of the state. The murderers of Emmanuel Francis and Francis Fax Oil must be brought to face the wrath of the law. The governor himself made such pledge during his campaigns - he said nobody will kill another and go scot-free; thus it beats me how the murderers of yet another Francis Bello Obemeasor, working with Royal Cross Hotel Kakuri, who was murdered on March 19th, 2016, at around 9 am, are still at large. It sure beats me even more, because these victims are all Christian boys.

What are the APC imberciles from SK saying about these murders? Nothing, but they were quick to tell us that Emmanuel Francis was not murdered as I earlier posited. That a miracle kept Emmanuel Francis alive to tell us his tale doesn't mean he was not murdered. He was murdered simplicita.

If the El-Rufai police could arrest Adara boys in Adara land while his fulani kinsmen kidnap, rape and murder Adara young girls and women even as they shoot down Adara men; what is stopping his police from finding and apprehending the terrorist murderers of Emmanuel Francis and Francis Bello Obemeasor all this time? All these are making me to take seriously the substitute for our great slogan by Comrade Senator Shehu Sani that Kaduna Will Be Grave Again. Is El-Rufai gradually making Kaduna a grave for Christians? Is that why he told Channels that Christians are just 30%? Is this statement a message to some underground forces commissioned to commit atrocities against the Christians in Kaduna State? I will join the Comrade Senator to advise the governor to use the water of River Kaduna and build the Kaduna of his dream - and if it's blood he needs, to use the blood of the many crocodiles in River Kaduna; but the governor must desist from allowing his kinsmen to use the blood of the Adara people or any other people.

If Mr. Governor cannot do it, he should simply tender his resignation. He has failed and has failed woefully for failing to secure the people, whose lives and properties he has, as a primary obligation, swore to safeguard when he took the oath of office 29th May 2015.

5 most powerful men that runs Buhari’s presidency.

President Muhammad Buhari, since assumption of office on May 29, 2015, has gotten some trusted hands around him that he delegates duties to with specific instructions.
Post-Nigeria, through a thorough investigation, gathered that with such huge national duties in their care, these individuals wield huge influence on the seat of power.

1.Theophilus Danjuma

He is one of Nigeria’s most influential and respected senior military officers ever. Danjuma is a power broker and always sought after by successive governments. He is extremely wealthy.
That he was one of the major sponsors of Buhari’s Presidency is not a secret. With an interest in oil blocs, Danjuma, is believed to have played a major role in the emergence of Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, as the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, and as the Minister of State, Petroleum Resources.
To further prove their closeness, Danjuma’s wife, Mrs Daisy, was the Chief Presenter at the public presentation of Mrs. Buhari’s book, ‘The Essentials of Beauty Therapy. A Complete Guide for Beauty Specialists.’

2. Abba Kyari

He is the Chief of Staff to the president. He is another power broker. The elderly man has the ears of the President, no doubt. He plans Buhari’s schedule, who to see, and who he should not see. He also plans his movement, in case he will be going out of the seat of power.
Apart from the traditional roles of a Chief of Staff, Buhari made it mandatory that ministers must go through Kyari, if they desired any contact with him. This is in clear departure from what was obtainable in the recent past, when ministers had unfettered access to their principal, the President.
As he walks a distance of about 100 metres from his office to the President’s office at intervals, Kyari, always holds tenaciously to office files, that may contain national secrets. He does not release his documents to anybody, including his security aides.

3.Babachir Lawal

He is the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. He occupies a powerful position on the ladder of Nigeria’s powerful rulers.
Lawal, by virtue of his position, serves as secretary to important government organs, such as the Federal Executive Council, FEC, and the Council of State.
As government’s scribe, Lawal, carries out supervisory functions on some government departments and agencies. Very outspoken, he does not hide the big influence he wields in the administration.
He is also, said to have the ears of the president.

4.Lawal Daura

Another strong man in this administration, is the Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS, Lawal Daura.
He was appointed by Buhari in July, 2015. Lawal has a clear mandate to re-organise the DSS, which is believed to have been dragged into the murky waters of politics ahead of the 2015 general elections.
However, under him, officials of the DSS were stripped of their constitutional roles of protecting the President.
Daura, who has a close relationship with the Buhari, joins the president often times for the Friday Jumat services that always hold inside the mosque close to the President’s office.

5. Mamman Daura.

Another major power broker in the presidency is his nephew, Mamman Daura.
He is immensely close to the President, hence, he has inputs in many of Buhari’s major decisions, including appointments.
Although, he holds no political office in this dispensation, Daura, is often seen with the president and travels with him. He is believed to have considerable input in the choice of those who emerged as ministers, especially those from the North.
Daura’s influence in government did not start today. Himself and Buhari belonged to a group called, “Kaduna Mafia”, which was a croup of young Northern Nigerian intellectuals, civil servants, business tycoons and military officers, residing or conducting business in the former Northern capital city of Kaduna, during the end of the First Republic.
The group was said to have thrived on a network of power alliances, among northern aristocrats and government sympathisers, who favoured the group’s pro-Northern and Islamic bent.

President Barack Obama's tribute on Mohammed Ali the greatest!

Muhammad Ali was The Greatest.

Period. If you just asked him, he’d tell you. He’d tell you he was the double greatest; that he’d ‘handcuffed lightning, thrown thunder into jail.’
But what made The Champ the greatest—what truly separated him from everyone else—is that everyone else would tell you pretty much the same thing.
Like everyone else on the planet, Michelle and I mourn his passing. But we’re also grateful to God for how fortunate we are to have known him, if just for a while; for how fortunate we all are that The Greatest chose to grace our time.
In my private study, just off the Oval Office, I keep a pair of his gloves on display, just under that iconic photograph of him—the young champ, just 22 years old, roaring like a lion over a fallen Sonny Liston. I was too young when it was taken to understand who he was—still Cassius Clay, already an Olympic Gold Medal winner, yet to set out on a spiritual journey that would lead him to his Muslim faith, exile him at the peak of his power, and set the stage for his return to greatness with a name as familiar to the downtrodden in the slums of Southeast Asia and the villages of Africa as it was to cheering crowds in Madison Square Garden.
‘I am America,’ he once declared. ‘I am the part you won’t recognize. But get used to me—black, confident, cocky; my name, not yours; my religion, not yours; my goals, my own. Get used to me.’
That’s the Ali I came to know as I came of age—not just as skilled a poet on the mic as he was a fighter in the ring, but a man who fought for what was right. A man who fought for us. He stood with King and Mandela; stood up when it was hard; spoke out when others wouldn’t. His fight outside the ring would cost him his title and his public standing. It would earn him enemies on the left and the right, make him reviled, and nearly send him to jail. But Ali stood his ground. And his victory helped us get used to the America we recognize today.
He wasn’t perfect, of course. For all his magic in the ring, he could be careless with his words, and full of contradictions as his faith evolved. But his wonderful, infectious, even innocent spirit ultimately won him more fans than foes—maybe because in him, we hoped to see something of ourselves. Later, as his physical powers ebbed, he became an even more powerful force for peace and reconciliation around the world. We saw a man who said he was so mean he’d make medicine sick reveal a soft spot, visiting children with illness and disability around the world, telling them they, too, could become the greatest. We watched a hero light a torch, and fight his greatest fight of all on the world stage once again; a battle against the disease that ravaged his body, but couldn’t take the spark from his eyes.
Muhammad Ali shook up the world. And the world is better for it. We are all better for it. Michelle and I send our deepest condolences to his family, and we pray that the greatest fighter of them all finally rests in peace.

Ethnic profiling: Nigerian Army confirms Sack of 200 'pro Jonathan' officers

June, 2016.

Nigerian Army spokesman, Colonel Sani Usman
After The Trent broke the news of the summary sack of 200 military officers who leaned towards former President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 elections, the federal government and Nigerian Army went into panic mode.
Army authorities made frantic phone calls to The Trent requesting that the story, which was published as breaking news at about 12 midnight be withdrawn. Of course, the requests were denied because the news story is based on facts.
In panic, the Nigerian Army spokesman, Colonel Sani Usman issued a statement confirming our report which indicated that soldiers – mostly from the South South and South East region, with a few from the North Central, region – were profiled for allegedly being “pro-Jonathan” and dismissed from the military.
The statement signed by Colonel Usman and delivered to The Trent by email says the Nigerian Army has compulsorily retired some of its senior officers who have been investigated for being “investigated for partisanship in the 2015 general election” and for alleged corruption, the usual crime of all victims of President Muhammadu Buhari’s parochial and sectional government.
The statement released at about 12.43am on Saturday, June 11, 2016, says that some of those retired were major-generals, brigadier-generals, colonels, lieutenant-colonels and a major.
“The Nigerian army wishes to inform the general public that quite a number of senior officers of the Nigerian army were retired from service yesterday,” Colonel Usman said in the statement.
“Those retired were mainly some major generals, brigadier generals, colonels, lieutenant colonels and a major.
“Their retirement was based on service exigencies. It should be recalled that not too long ago some officers were investigated for being partisan during the 2015 general election.
“Similarly, the investigation by the Presidential Committee investigating defence contracts revealed a lot. Some officers have already been arraigned in court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).”
Usman appealed that Nigerians “should therefore not read this out of context”, saying “the military must remain apolitical and professional at all times”.

Ethnic Profiling In Buhari’s Army.

There are indications on Friday, June 11, 2016 that about 200 military officers may have been sacked by the federal government through text messages (SMS) over their alleged loyalty to former President Goodluck Jonathan during the 2015 general elections.
They affected officers were said to have been carefully selected for backing Jonathan during the last 2015 general election.
Further checks in the military establishment in Abuja, also hinted that military officers who were believed to be loyal to the former national security adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki were also affected in the mass sacking.
The list showed that they were mainly from the South East, South South and a small percentage of them were from the North Central region of the country.
The development which is already causing some ripples in the military, according to political analysts, could cost the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration public goodwill.
A source said, “It is being seen as an act of ethnic card to checkmate those officers who were seen as posing danger to the federal government and it was resolved in the presidency that they should be weeded out.”
But the concern as some observers also said was the implication of the sack on the psyche of the military institution and the public which was felt capable of truncating the nation’s democracy as the “systematic sacking “ of over 200 top military officers mainly from the southern part of the country was a decision difficult to defend by the federal government.
“The affected officers were sent text messages relieving them of their jobs and they were directed to pick their sack letters at specific locations without any reason given for terminating their appointments,” said a source in the presidency which pleaded anonymity.
According to the source, the move allegedly masterminded by “some hawks“ in the presidency was aimed at weeding out all officers who were perceived to be loyal to the last regime and deemed to have played one role or the other favourable to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan in the last presidential election.
“The game plan is to remove all vestiges of the old regime, particularly those officers considered to be too intelligent and smart to challenge the status quo.
“Buhari is weary of being toppled a second time, given his ugly past experience. But unknown to him, this latest move of indiscriminate sacking of senior and middle level officers has divided the military and created rumblings in some quarters,” the source stated.

Muslims Youths assault Christian for eating during Ramadan.

Francis Emmanuel, a 41-year-old man, was on Tuesday assaulted by some youths in Kakuri, a community in Kaduna state, for not observing the Ramadan fast.
Emmanuel, a carpenter, said the youth who were passing by, saw him eating at his work station, and approached
him to find out why he was not partaking in the spiritual exercise.
He said they descended on him after he explained to them that he is not a Muslim, revealing that he did not know how he landed at St. Gerald Catholic Hospital, stillalso in Kakuri, where he has been responding to treatment.
“I went to buy wood that I would use to work, and on my way back, I decided to buy what I will eat,” he said.
“As I was eating, about six boys came to me and asked me whether I am a Muslim or a Christian, but I did not answer them. They asked me why I was not fasting, and it was at that point that I told them that I am not a Muslim.
“Before I knew what was happening, one of them slapped me. As I stood up in order to escape, the rest surrounded me. They started kicking me, using knives and other dangerous objects to attack me.
“Nobody could come to my aid because of the weapons in their possession. At some point, I lost consciousness. I don’t even know who brought me to the hospital.”
The incident happened less than a week after Bridget Agbahime, a 74-year-old trader, was murdered in Kano over alleged blasphemy.
Danladi Yerima, secretary-general of the northern zone of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), condemned the incident, wondering why such could happen in Kaduna which has been relatively peaceful in recent times.
He urged security agencies to arrest those behind the incident and charge them to court.
Nasir El-Rufai, Kaduna state governor, has also expressed concerns over the development, asking the police to arrest the culprits.
“This is of very serious concern to the state government, before Ramadan began, we warned everyone to observe the tenets of his or her religion, without forcing it on anyone or taking the law into their own hands,” he said when he visited the victim in the hospital.
“This is a case of which people have taken the law into their own hands and I have directed the commissioner of police to make sure that the boys that did this are arrested and prosecuted for what they have done.”

Samuel Aruwan, spokesman of the governor, also issued a statement on the incident.
“There is no compulsion in religion. It is a free country, and that means no imposition of faith or religious practices on anyone,” the statement read.
“We sympathize with our fellow citizen, Francis Emmanuel. We have assured him that we will not allow anybody to violate his right, or that of any other citizen. The Kaduna State Government is resolute in its stand that all criminals, including those who try to hide under Christianity or Islam, will be tackled and prosecuted.”
