APC plan to form parallel government in 2015, if elections are rigged.

"APC slams presidency, vows to form a parallel
government if 2015 elections are rigged

By Olawale Kadir on November 21, 2014.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has
slammed the presidency for its agitated
response to the warning that if the 2015
elections are rigged, the party will not
recognize the outcome and will go ahead to
form a parallel government, saying that
represents the stand of the party.
In a statement issued in Lagos on Friday by its
National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai
Mohammed, the party said that what Gov.
Rotimi Amaechi said at the APC’s Salvation
Rally, which has now rankled the presidency
into a state of delirium, was simply to reiterate
the stand taken by the party before the last
Osun State Governorship election.
”Those who are fretting about this statement
are those who are planning to rig the elections
and they should be warned that Nigerians will
no longer accept the outcome of any
fraudulent polls. Those who incite the people
are those who steal their mandate.
”What we made is a conditional statement. If
A happens, then B will follow. That means if
elections are not rigged, there will be no
problem. It is therefore laughable that anyone
will call that statement treasonable,” it said,
adding that there is no higher treason than the
subversion of the people’s will.
APC said it is common knowledge that
anywhere in the world where elections have
been rigged, the consequences have been
dire, and Nigeria will not be an exception.
”Let us remind the presidency, in case it has
forgotten, that election fraud triggered a civil
war in Algeria in the early 1990s, led to the
killing of over 1,000 people in post-election
riots in Kenya in 2007/2008 and fired a near
revolution in Iran in 2009/2010. Electoral
frauds also corrupt democracy and breed
dictatorship, and risks making the people to
lose confidence in democracy. Why then
would any government react violently if
warned against election rigging?” the party
queried.
It said that instead of issuing threats and
engaging in name calling, the presidency
should simply brace up to ensure that the
forthcoming elections are not only free, fair
and credible, but are seen to be so by
Nigerians and the international community.
APC said it is necessary to constantly warn
the PDP and the Federal Government not to
tamper with the 2015 polls because of their
penchant for electoral desperation, which
manifests in the intimidation of the opposition
and the militarization of election, disposition to
anarchy and propensity for impunity.
The party said already, the process leading to
the 2015 polls are flawed, with moves to
disenfranchise millions of Nigerians by making
it impossible for them to either register or get
their Permanent Voters Cards and the plot to
depopulate the strongholds of the opposition.
”PDP and the governments it sired, especially
at the centre, are lawless and anarchic. That’s
why they can unleash the police against
federal legislators in an attempt to force a
removal of the Speaker of the House of
Representatives. That’s why a state under the
control of the PDP will use seven lawmakers
to remove the Speaker in a 26-member House
of Assembly.
”Because it is said that eternal vigilance is the
price of freedom, we will constantly warn the
PDP and the Federal Government not to
tamper with the 2015 elections. We will
constantly chide them for trying to
institutionalize impunity. We cannot and will
not be intimidated by an uptight presidency,”
it said.
”The PDP and the Jonathan Administration are
the masters of impunity, and they will not
hesitate to exploit any sign of docility in the
face of their evil intentions on the part of the
opposition. The lessons are there: Had the
members of the House of Representatives
been docile on Thursday when remote-
controlled security agents invaded their
premises and barred them from entering,
Tambuwal would have ceased to be the
Speaker by now.
”For us, the gloves are off. We will no longer
engage in any nicety as long as some people
are bent on thwarting the will of the people
through electoral fraud. All we are demanding
is a free, fair and credible election. All we are
saying is that no one should incite the people
by stealing their mandate. How these
demands can be construed to mean treason is
as baffling as the do-or-die disposition of the
ruling PDP to elections,” the party said."

In a serious country,  these shallow minded people should have been tried for treason. ......FG should act for once,   Abeg.

Our Northern leaders are unpatriotic!

"Jonathan has failed, if APC is voted into
power in 2015, we’ll end Boko Haram "–
Kwankwaso

At times I am convinced that some of our
Northern leaders are more clueless than
Jonathan. Must they be president before
they can end the insurgency?

Facts and drinking beer. ..

Beer is an alcoholic beverage produced by
the saccharification of starch and
fermentation of the resulting sugar. The
starch and saccharification enzymes are
often derived from malted cereal grains,
most commonly malted barley and malted
wheat
Overtime, sentiments have trailed the
analysis that comes with whether beer is
good or bad. However, it is a known fact
that beer has been in existence nearly as
long as man has been on planet earth.
Beer as it is, includes a component of
barley, malt, yeast for brewing and it is rich
in the Calcium, magnesium, Sodium,
phosphorous, Niacin and many more
nutrients good for the health. Other
research studies found out that
improvements in moderate beer
consumption causes increased mental
health for women, improvement in the
density of the bone. Infact, moderate
drinkers tend to have a healthy option
especially when a bottle per day is strictly
adhered to. This can result in the lowering
of the risk of cardiovascular diseases such
as a heart problem and many more.
Should you increase the intake of beer
because of these benefits?? The answer is
NO. Excessive intake of beer affects the
liver, heart and brain. The liver is the organ
responsible for processing of alcohol in
your body. When there is too much in your
system, the liver will not be able to meet up
with digestion and hence it quickly reaches
your brain to cause conditions such as
intoxication when it distorts the brain
centers responsible for judgement, vision
and speech.
The advantages of taking beer really has
nothing to do with Alcohol, but because
most beers contain much alcohol, it is
usually safer to choose beers with lesser
quantities of alcohol and take them in
moderate quantities such as a beer per
day.
You would have noticed that some people
do not get intoxicated even after taking 3 –
5 bottles. That does not mean it is okay,
Scientific evidence has shown that while
drinking a bottle of beer per day may
improve your health, drinking too much will
have a negative effect on your body.
Heavy drinking or being an Alcoholic for
men is more than 35 bottles per week and
21 bottles of beer for women. Too much
drinking of beer leads to cardiovascular or
heart disease, damage to the liver,
osteoporosis or Arthritis, pancreatic
damage and deficiency to thiamin and mild
cancer. However, expectant or pregnant
women, people suffering from drug
additions or alcoholics, young people (in
most countries of the world, the drinking
age is 21), liver or heart disease patients,
diabetic and hypertensive patients SHOULD
NOT be seen near beer at all.
So you can see how very beneficial and the
other way round the consumption of beer
can be? Moderation is key!

Why 2face Idibia 's (2baba) Mum was attacked during her husband burial.

According to sources who were present
in Benue state for the burial of 2face
Idibia’s father, Pa Michael Idibia, his
widow, Mrs. Rose Idibia was almost
stoned to death on Thursday night after
she was attacked by her late husband’s
kinsmen at the Amafu community in
Okpokwu LGA of Benue State. Read the
sad story below:The family members are
angry with her for allegedly stopping from
from building them the family house he
promised.According to The Daily Post,
the problem started shortly after her late
husband died and the family invited the
four children to inform them on what to
do.
For his quota, 2face was instructed to
build a befitting house where his father
and also ‘grade’ the road leading to
Amufu, their home town from Ojapo for
easy access during the burial – and he
promised to fulfil the obligations.
As a matter of fact, he sent in some
money and kicked off the building project
and the upgrading of the road
immediately, however, along the line, the
projects hit menopause and family
members were left in the dark on what
led to the sudden stoppage.
“When we contacted 2face, he told us he
no longer had money to further the
project that he would continue after his
father’s burial, but we carried out our
investigation and found that it was his
mum, Rose that stopped him from
completing the project. The mum told him
not to waste his money on any building
that he would not come home anytime to
stay there, saying that his uncles would
only take over the house once he
completes it,” an indigene who craved
anonymity toldDailypost. Thus, the people
resorted on taking the revenge on him
and his mum.
As soon as the corpse touched down in
Amufu and the widow alighted, youths in
the land began to jeer her, they threw
stones and sticks at her calling her all
sort of names and saying that she is
wicked – some mockingly called her ‘Obu
Michael’ (Michael’s husband).
She had to be sneaked into a room by
her colleagues from Cherryfield College,
Jikwoyi where she serves as Vice
Principal, Admin. When all this was
happening, 2face Idibia allegedly
remained in his car with two of his kids,
Isabella and Olivia.
Explaining her side of the story when the
father in charge of Mt. St. Camel Catholic
Church, Ojapo tried settling the case,
Mrs. Idibia blasted her in-laws for being
heartless.
“Is it not wickedness that you would call
on someone who is mourning his father to
come and start a building project? When
my husband died, they informed my son
to come and build ten bed room flat. He
accepted and promised to do so, with the
hope that a hug amount of money was
coming his way. The building project
started almost immediately but stopped
along the line because of finance. So,
when they called to complain why money
was no longer coming I called Tuface and
he said because of the Ebola issue, the
money he was expecting could not come
that they should hold on till after the
burial. But his uncle refused that the
burial would not hold until Tuface
completes the house. When we finally
came home with the corpse on Thursday,
they began to boo me. Some wanted to
kill me by throwing stones and sticks at
me that I stopped Tuface my son from
building in his village,” she explained.

synagogue church collapsed likely cause by strange Aircraft- Police investigator- Premium Times.

The five-storey building belonging to the
Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN,
which collapsed in September, killing 115
people, may have been destroyed by a
strange aircraft which flew over it shortly
before the incident, a police investigator
told a coroner inquest Wednesday.
The collapse may also have been caused by
sabotage, or structural failure, the
investigator claimed.
Standing as witness, the head of homicide
section at the state Criminal Investigation
Department, CID, Panti, Olushola Agoyi,
said the three factors, suggested by the
founder of the church, T.B. Joshua, and the
Lagos State government, were also what
the police found as likely causes for the
collapse.
“In my recommendations, three parameters
might be responsible for the collapse.
Internal sabotage, strange aircraft,
structural and civil aspect of the building,”
Mr. Agoyi said.
Mr. Agoyi said in the course of his
investigation, he recorded statements from
34 persons including Nigerians, Togolese
and South Africans.
“I recorded statement from 34 witnesses
and I’m aware that the aircraft caused
panic,” Mr. Agoyi said, acknowledging that
his investigation remained open.
The founder of Synagogue Church of All
Nations, Mr. Joshua, blames the building
collapse on a strange aircraft and attack by
extremist group Boko Haram, while the
Lagos State government says the building
was structurally defective.
The police investigator, Mr. Agoyi, said the
way the building came down “was just like
that of a controlled demolition and there
were some smoke like dust that came out”.
Mr. Agoyi recommended that soil and
particles which he described as “smoke-like
dust” should be treated as exhibits and
examined by foreign experts.
“If experts analyse all these, it could be as
a result of controlled demolition and I
recommended that these mentioned
exhibits should be tested by foreign
experts”.
According to the police investigation, an
aircraft which flew over the building
shortly before the collapse, belonged to the
Nigerian Airforce and was on a circuit
training mission.
The coroner inquest will continue it
inquest tomorrow, November 20.

Obama condemns seizure of Chibok Town by Boko Haram.

United States president, Mr. Barack
Obama, has condemned last week’s
seizure of Chibok town by members of
the Boko Haram sect.
Chibok is the town where the terrorists
abducted more than 270 female
students in April, 2014.
Reacting to the seizure through a
spokesperson of the White House, Ms.
Jen Psaki, the United States leader
lamented the incidence, saying that it
had shown how difficult the situation in
the Northern parts of Nigeria was.
Asked to confirm if he believed that the
Nigerian army was not really managing
to take control of the situation in the
northeast, Obama declined comments
but said that the American military
advisors sent out in the back end of April
were still on the ground to assist in
finding the girls.
“I believe there is still a presence there. I
don’t have the exact specifics on the
numbers on that front,” he said.
“We are aware of the report. And while
we are closely monitoring it, we don’t
have confirmation of all the specifics that
have been out there. We condemn these
attacks in Chibok, a community that has
already suffered too much.
“Our condolences go out to the families
of the victims. We remain committed to
helping the government of Nigeria
address the threat posed by extremist
organizations and to assist – assisting
Nigeria and its neighbours – Cameroon
and Chad – to address critical security
needs.”
He further asserted that his
administration had provided a range of
assistance to the government of Nigeria
over the course that he outlined above,
stressing that he would continue to work
very closely with Nigeria and her
neighbours on addressing the threat
from Boko Haram members.

All African men are polygamous- Queen Anheva.

Wife of juju maestro, King Sunny Ade and
fashion icon, Queen Ahneva Adeniyi- Adegeye,
has revealed that African men are naturally
born to love more than one woman. The
woman born Ahneva Hilson, who got married
to King Sunny Ade in 1984, argued that no
African man has one wife, arguing that most
men have a wife, a mistress and a concubine.
The Los
Angeles born
graduate of
Fashion
Design from
the Art
Institute of
Chicago
disclosed in an
interview with
a leading
magazine, that
African men
love to spread
love across
and to have
more than one
woman they love.
“Once you see any man, you see polygamy.
No African man has one wife. I don’t care if
he’s an indigenous African American or African
Caribbean, it’s in their nature to spread love
across and to have more than one woman
they love. Polygamy only puts a stamp on it to
make legal. Most men have a wife, a mistress
and a concubine. So, in a way, polygamy is
every where in Africa and all over the world.”

Ghanaian Rapper ITZ Tiffany releases a statement over leaked sex tape.

Most of you must have heard about the
sad event surrounding Ghanaian rapper
— Itz Tiffany. If you haven’t, well here is a
peep into what happened.
It’s been about a week now since videos
showing her completely unclad were
leaked on the internet allegedly by her
former husband, Frank Kwame Gambrah.
Tiffany Owusu simply known as Itz
Tiffany, has released an official statement
to address the issue.
In the statement, the ‘Forever’ rapper
apologized for the leaked s*x tape and
revealed the effect the unsavory episode
has had on her since the release of the
s*x tape online by her baby daddy.
The rapper reveals that she has been
involved in a long battle for the custody of
their son, following their split over
irreconcilable differences. The rapper
described the incident as unfortunate
especially having emanated from someone
she once loved and shared her life with.

Read her full statement below: –

‘The past few days have been
very difficult for me as a person
and a musician. Very private
and personal videos of mine
were wickedly, illegally and
immorally circulated on various
social media platforms. It is
unfortunate that a man I once
loved, trusted, shared my life
with, and who is the father of
my only child is on a path of
destruction and is waging a
campaign to tarnish my image
and damage my person.
Three videos of mine were
circulated by my estranged ex-
husband. Regrettably, a third
video of extremely explicit
nature has also been attributed
to me when I had absolutely
nothing to do with the video. I
would like to state without
equivocation that I am not the
lady in that particular video.
With that clarification made, let
me address the unfortunate
release of those two videos
which were recorded about six
years ago. I unreservedly
apologise to all those whose
sensibilities were rightly hurt by
those videos. I would like to
submit that I played no part in
the release of those videos. The
only thing wrong was to trust a
man I thought I loved and
married.
I thoroughly understand why he
would want to hurt me even if I
disagree with his methods. I
have been involved in a long
and bitter battle of custody of
my son with my ex-husband for
several years after our 7-year-
old relationship broke down
irretrievably. We had been
married for four years – a period
when I suffered untold abuses
from him.
Although he won custody of the
child by concocting lies, this
man appears to be satisfied. He
has tormented me persistently,
constantly asking for a share of
the money I make from music.
He turned my innocent and
naïve son against me – he made
my son send me voice notes
denouncing me as his mother!
He had threatened to release
those personal videos to bring
me down but it was a mere puff
because I did not believe that
any decent person would do
that. I was wrong.
All I ask is your prayers and
your understanding as I deal
with this unfortunate episode. I
plead with you to, for the sake
of humanity, stop sharing the
videos. That is the best you can
do for me. I pray that the good
Lord will forgive him for his
ungodly ways. I also beg for
privacy in these difficult
moments of my life.

Thank you,
Itz Tiffany.

FG okays emergency rule extension in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa.

The Federal Government on Monday resolved
to extend the state of emergency declared in
Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States for the
third time.
The emergency rule was first declared in the
affected states on May 14, 2013 by President
Goodluck Jonathan over the continued
activities of members of the Boko Haram sect.
Since that first declaration of six months, the
emergency rule had been extended twice.
The third tranche of six-month emergency
rule expires on Thursday.
The decision to extend it for the third time
was taken at a meeting of the National
Defence Council presided over by Jonathan
on Monday.
THE PUNCH had reported exclusively earlier
on Monday that a decision on whether to
extend the emergency rule or not would be
taken at the meeting.
Attorney-General of the Federation and
Minister of Justice, Mr. Muhammed Adoke
(SAN), disclosed the council’s decision to
State House correspondents.
Adoke said having reviewed the emergency
rule, the council resolved that the government
should request the National Assembly to
extend the emergency rule.
When asked when the request would be sent
bearing in mind that an arm of the National
Assembly is currently on break, the minister
said it would be done immediately.
“The council reviewed the issue of the state
of emergency and the government will be
requesting the National Assembly to extend
the emergency rule. It (the communication)
will go in immediately,” he said.
The Council which is one of the federal
executive bodies established by Section 135
of the nation’s Constitution has the power to
advise the President on matters relating to
the defence of the sovereignty and territorial
integrity of Nigeria.
Its members include the President who shall
be the chairman; the Vice President who shall
be the Deputy Chairman;Minister of Defence;
Chief of Defence Staff; Chief of Army Staff;
Chief of Naval Staff; Chief of Air Staff; and
such other members as the President may
appoint.
Those who attended the Monday meeting
included the CDS, Air Chief Marshal Alex
Badeh; COAS, Lt.-Gen. Kenneth Minimah;
CNS, Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin; CAS, Air
Marshal Adesola Amosu; Inspector-General of
Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba; and the National
Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.).
Others were Secretary to the Government of
the Federation, Senator Pius Anyim; Minister
of Defence, Gen. Aliyu Guasu (retd.); and the
Minister of Interior, Mr. Aba Moro.
While declaring emergency rule in the three
states in 2013 in a nationwide broadcast,
Jonathan had invoked Section 305 (1) of the
1999 Constitution as amended.
He had announced that regardless of the
state of emergency imposed, the political
structures in the affected states would remain
intact.
Following continued violence in the state in
spite of the emergency rule, there were calls
for the sacking of the state governors to pave
way for the appointment of military
administrators.
The Presidency had however said it was
unconstitutional for the President to sack
state governors.

Abuja kitchen where meals are served for free.

In a bid to fight hunger in Nigeria, a
humanitarian kitchen in Gwagwalada,
Abuja, has opened its doors to feed
1,000 indigent Nigerians daily and 2,000
prisoners weekly. AGBO-PAUL
AUGUSTINE was at the maiden free food
initiative of Marian Soup Kitchen at the
Kuje Medium Prison, where 824 inmates
had a good time
Located on the outskirts of Gwagwalada
on the hole-riddled Gwagwalada-Kuje
road, Marian Soup Kitchen can pass for
any regular structure on the dusty road
where little commercial activities take
place. It stands like a cottage factory
painted blue and white with a few
security personnel on guard. But beyond
the face of the structure lies a
humanitarian service that many a visitor
may ponder about.
Marian Soup Kitchen was
conceptualised, built and equipped to
feed 1,000 hungry Nigerians with rich
meals daily and 2,000 prison inmates
weekly in the Federal Capital Territory at
no cost. The only requirement is
submission for security check at the
gate, getting a card, signing in and being
seated in the massive hall that is fully
equipped like a boarding school dining
hall with a projector to show movies
while meals are served.
When LEADERSHIP Weekend visited the
site in Gwagwalada, it was breathtaking
as everything at the centre was provided
through the private effort of a
philanthropist. The first point of call for
any visitor is the reception desk where
cards are clocked in, then into the
massive, well-ventilated dining hall with
1,000 chairs arranged around tables. It
also has several toilet facilities to meet
the large number of persons expected at
the centre.
The centre has a small clinic for those
with medical needs and a counselling
unit too. It also boasts of modern cold-
rooms for raw food and drinks with a
massive, fully equipped kitchen. It has a
modern water treatment facility and a dry
food store with hostels for its workers.
The N100-million project was built for
the poor in society who are basically
faced with the challenge of feeding
themselves and with the mandate of
giving them hope.
The first Nigerians to taste the free
gesture of the kitchen were inmates of
the Kuje Medium Prison where 824
inmates had it good recently. The
Nigerian Prisons Service graciously
granted permission to the kitchen’s
request to provide free meal to inmates
in the three prisons under the FCT
Command of the service. With that
arrangement, 2,000 inmates are sure of
getting a taste of a good meal once a
week.
At the Kuje Prison, LEADERSHIP
Weekend was exclusively granted access
to witness the maiden free feeding of
inmates as all the inmates were given a
plate full of Jollof rice and beef each.
Most of the inmates couldn’t wait for the
food to reach them, as the aroma had so
aroused their taste buds that some were
practically salivating as they scrambled
through the barricade of the kitchen to
have their share.
It took extra efforts of prison wardens to
restore order as some inmates were
already going out of control. Some of the
more ‘experienced’ prison inmates had
to be drafted to assist officials of the
kitchen to serve the meal in batches of
10 plates each.
Speaking to LEADERSHIP Weekend,
some of the inmates said the food they
get in prison is a far cry from what they
ate at the kitchen. “The food is far better
than what we get in prison and that
explains why our colleagues are falling
over each other to have a good meal”,
said an inmate.
“Some of us that don’t have rich
relatives to bring food for us in prison
have to wait for opportunities like this to
have a taste of home once again.
“I can tell you, eating this meal makes
me feel like I am at home because what
we get here is of less quality. However,
the prison officials are doing their best to
make our stay worthwhile,” said another
inmate.
All the inmates had to eat the food with
bare hands as cutleries are not allowed
in prison to avoid being used as
weapons. Most of the inmates never
bothered to wash their hands before
gulping the meal whose aroma
permeated the entire prison.
After eating, none of the visitors are
expected to wash their dishes; they
simply eat and leave.
While speaking with LEADERSHIP
Weekend, the founder, Rev Fr. Willy
Ojukwu said he was motivated by the
zeal to make people happy. He said the
main objective of the gesture is the love
of humanity.
The priest believes that the world is a
“family of God” regardless of religion,
tribe or ethnic affiliations hence, he was
moved to assist the hungry by giving
them food at no cost. He said he has
been into humanitarian services since
1966 and worked to fight Kwashiorkor in
the south east during the Nigerian Civil
War.
“The place is open for everybody; any
person that is hungry is free to come to
Marian Soup Kitchen.
“After eating, all visitors to the place are
not to wash their plates; they are
expected to get up and take the exit
door. It’s as simple as that,” Ojukwu
said.
He also said the programme had been
planned to last beyond his demise even
as he bemoaned Nigerians who are in
the habit of wasting food items as there
are millions of Nigerians who still go to
bed hungry every day.
Consequently, Marian Soup Kitchen has
taken upon itself to feed 9,000 mouths
every week. Its sustainability remains a
huge test to the aspiration of the
Catholic Priest to serve humanity in good
and bad times.
“If you can’t feed the poor, employ them
in factories to work,” Ojukwu,” Ojukwu
added.
When asked, he said the motivation
behind the gesture was his belief that the
world is a family of God and he was
convinced too that he could assist the
government to uplift the poor. “The main
objectives of the programme is the love
of humanity; I don’t want to see people
suffer. God has blessed me, why
shouldn’t I help others? It pains me to
see people begging and suffering.
“If you go round hotels in Nigeria, you
will see large quantities of food wasted.
It is also sad to see how some rich
people in Nigeria waste money. If only
they could have an industry or
something that will uplift the people, it
will be wonderful and that is why I was
motivated to see how I can make people
happy, especially the poor.
“I love Aliko Dangote though I haven’t
met him because he is using his money
to establish a lot of industries and once
you establish companies, you are feeding
a lot of families whether you know it or
not. Some of our people who are getting
the money either from government or
elsewhere only siphon and launder it
outside the country. The countries
having the money are using it to develop
their places and we are here dying of
poverty in the midst of riches and
wealth,” he lamented.
Speaking on how he gets money for the
project, he said, the seed funds were
raised from the series of books he had
written and movies staged in
collaboration with some Nollywood
actors.
“We made a movie which was launched
in Abuja and about N40 million was
realised in a day. The board of directors
also added and we were able to get the
seed fund to start the project.
“I have great faith in God and I am
convincedhat God will always provide for
his people. When I finally get started
fully, people with big industries,
especially food companies and hotels will
be approached to pass to us what they
cannot use but still edible. We shall also
approach bottling companies and
breweries to give us drinks that they feel
they cannot distribute before their
expiring date. Here we can consume
them in a day.
“We also intend to approach the Nigeria
Customs Service for help. We want to
plead with them to give us some of the
seized food items from importers who try
to circumvent the law of importation.
Instead of destroying some of the food
items, our kitchen could make use of
them by feeding the masses with it,” he
pleaded.
He said, as long as there are hungry
people in Nigeria, the place would remain
opened.
“This place does not belong to anybody
even me and my brothers and sisters
and if I pass away today, no one in my
family can lay claim to the project
ownership. It belongs to God and
humanity,” he stated.

ISL behesds Syria troops and US aid worker. -Aljazera.

A video has been circulated online purporting
to show members of the Islamic State of Iraq
and the Levant (ISIL) group beheading several
Syrian soldiers and a US aid worker.
The footage, released on Sunday, showed the
beheading of at least 12 people whom ISIL
said were pilots and officers in Syrian
President Bashar al-Assad’s military.
The clip was circulated through credible
social media accounts that have previously
shared similar videos that were later verfied,
Al Jazeera’s Imran Khan, reporting from
Baghdad, said.
But it is not yet possible to verify the
authenticity of the footage, Khan said.
“To Obama, the dog of Rome, today we are
slaughtering the soldiers of Bashar and
tomorrow we are slaughtering your soldiers.
And with god’s permission we will break this
final and last crusade,” a masked man said
before he was shown beheading one of the
men.
The video also showed a bloodied head on
the ground, whom ISIL said was that of US
aid worker Peter Kassing.
“This is Peter Edward Kassig, a US citizen of
your country. Peter, who fought against
Muslims in Iraq, was serving as a soldier in
the American army, does not have much to
say,” a masked person standing near the
head said.
“His previous cellmates have already spoken
on his behalf.”
Khan said: “Peter had converted to Islam. He
is a Muslim who died in the hands of
Muslims. So it is a pretty controversial
statement coming from ISIL.”
Kassig, a 26-year-old from the US state of
Indiana, converted to Islam and changed his
name to Abdul-Rahman Kassig.
The White House said the US intelligence
community was working to determine the
authenticity of the video.
If the video is authentic, the White House
would be “appalled by the brutal murder of
an innocent American,” National Security
Council spokeswoman, Bernadette Meehan,
said.
Kimberly Halkett, reporting from Washington,
said: “Peter’s family has released a
statement, saying that they are in contact with
the US government to understand if the video
is authentic or not. They asked the
international news media not to broadcast or
publish any material provided by the hostage
takers.”
British Prime Minister David Cameron said he
was “horrified” over the video.
“I’m horrified by the cold-blooded murder of
Abdul-Rahman Kassig,” Cameron wrote on
Twitter on Sunday.
“ISIL have again shown their depravity. My
thoughts are with his family.”
Two US journalists and two British aid
workers had already been beheaded by ISIL
in what the group says are retaliatory killings
for the US-led air campaign against its
fighters in Iraq and Syria.
Later on Sunday, the Syrian Observatory for
Human Rights, said, in Syria’s al-Raqqa city,
ISIL executed al least 13 men, who were
arrested earlier this month after they were
charged of collaborating with the Syrian
regime.
The London-based rights group said,
according to local sources, the Syrian
nationals were arrested about a month ago,
adding that ISIL found individual weapons
and wireless devices in their possession.
ISIL has executed numerous Iraqis and
Syrians. In October, the group publicly
executed Iraqi news cameraman Raad al-
Azzawi and three civilians in northern Iraq,
according to the journalist’s relatives.

Commissioner of Police in the state, Lawal
Shehu, who confirmed the blast on Sunday,
said rescue operation was in progress.
Shehu could not however give the number of
people who might have died or injured in the
blast.
Azare, which houses a Federal Government
College, is coming under bombers attack for
the second time in less than three weeks.

Sexual Harrastment makes me to abandoned acting for a while- Sotayo Sobola

Sexual harassment
is everywhere, not just in Nollywood, it
happens everywhere even in Churches and
Mosques. It now depends on you to make a
decision if you want to buy into it or not.
Yes o, except I want to lie. That was a long
time ago, like in 2004; it has happened to me
before but I’m not going to mention names. I
know one day I’m going to run into that
person and look straight into his eyes again
I’ll give you an example. You’ve been cast for
a role, you’ve been given the role and the next
thing you hear is: ‘If you know you can’t come
and meet me in my hotel room or come and
date me then you should bring back my
script’. It was part of the reason why I
stopped acting English movies. I just stopped
acting and went to complete my education. I
had a diploma in Law from Lagos State
University and got my first degree in Public
Administration from Onabisi Onabanjo
University. Because of sexual harassment I
just stopped everything that had to do with
entertainment. I was so discouraged.
You’re being casted for a role and because
you refused to sleep with a producer or
something, next minute you won’t even know,
you’ll just hear that they’ve started shooting
the job or they ask you to bring back the
script for someone else.
