KADUNA 2015: El-Rufai, six others to battle
for APC governorship ticket

Ahead of the 2015 elections, seven aspirants
have so far indicated interest to contest for
the governorship ticket of the All Progressive
Congress, APC, in Kaduna State.
Some of the aspirants include a former
minister of the Federal Capital Territory,
Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, a serving member of
the House of Representatives, Isah Ashiru, a
former deputy governor of the state, James
Magaji amongst others.
Mr. Bala Bantex, the chairman of the party in
the state, told journalists at the party
secretariat that over 100 aspirants have so far
purchased nomination forms for other elective
positions and gave the assurance that the
party will provide a level playing field to all the
aspirants, while also admitting that candidates
may emerge through a consensus
arrangement if need be.
He also declared that the APC would form the
next government in the state come 2015,
saying the PDP had inflicted untold hardship
on the state and its citizens since 1999 till
date.
